Despite the hard work of our district crews and city officials, some of our parking lots, sidewalks, and many side streets remain unsafe for students and staff to return. Out of an abundance of caution, there will be no school tomorrow, January 8th. This extra time will allow road conditions to continue improving and give crews the opportunity to ensure the areas around our facilities are safe for everyone.
Thank you for your understanding as we prioritize safety. Stay safe and warm, BRAVES!

Dylan Taylor, a 2020 graduate of Bonner Springs High School, has turned his passion for shoes into a successful business. He buys and sells sneakers to people and businesses across the U.S., creating a thriving reselling venture. But for Dylan, it’s not just about making money—it’s about giving back to the community that helped him along the way.
Dylan recently donated shoes to staff at Clark Middle School (CMS) as a thank-you for all the support they gave him during his school years.
His generosity extends beyond just school staff. Dylan has also donated shoes to students during the school supply drive, ensuring local kids have what they need. For him, the business is a way to help others while doing something he loves. Thank you Dylan!

📚✨ Over the past month, Clark Middle School students have been part of the "Reading Buddies" program, meeting twice a week to practice reading fluency and expression. The program wrapped up with a heartwarming trip to McDaniel Preschool, where they shared their love of books and stories with our youngest learners.

Next week is our last Holiday Spirit Days. If your student would like to participate, see the attached Calendar for more information.

Before heading off for break, our students showed the true spirit of giving! 🧡 McDanield Preschoolers delivered over 240 food items to Vaughn-Trent Community Services, and students across the district came together to prepare Thanksgiving meal kits for Feed His Lambs. We’re so proud of their generosity. THANK YOU to our staff and families for supporting the various food drives during the holiday season, helping us make a big impact in our community!

During the month of November, CMS raised money for supplies to make green bean casseroles for Feed His Lambs Ministry. FCCLA packed the casserole kits this morning, that will be distributed to local families this Thanksgiving season! Thank you for your generosity and contributing to our community!
