In its 20-year history, only 69 students across the KC Metro have received this honor—and now Maia is one of them! 🎶🎬 She was recognized at a special dinner, during an awards presentation, and in front of the entire Starlight crowd. A huge congratulations goes out to our Battle of the Books teams. Eleven students, 14 novels, over 3,200 pages read in less than 5 short months! They competed with teams from all over Kansas and took 4th place in state! 🎶 Get ready for two unforgettable nights of music! On Thursday, May 8, CMS Choirs present "Music by the Greats"—a retro-themed celebration of iconic songs, starting at 7:00 PM. Then on Friday, May 9, the BSHS Choirs take the stage with "Come Alive", featuring multiple ensembles and special senior recognition. Senior Grand Entrance begins at 6:30 PM with the show at 7:00 PM. Don’t miss these back-to-back showcases of incredible student talent! 🎵

We are thrilled to invite you to the CMS Choirs' Annual POPs Show, one of the most exciting events of the year! This year’s theme, Music by the Greats, promises an unforgettable evening of legendary songs, featuring the incredible talent and energy of our CMS Choir students. Join us Thursday, May 8, at 7:00 PM in the BSHS Auditorium. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students/children, with pre-sales beginning next week in the CMS Office during office hours (7:30 AM – 3:00 PM). Payment can be made by cash, check, or card (in-person only). Tickets are limited and sold on a first-come, first-served basis, with any remaining tickets available at the door 30 minutes before showtime. Every attendee must have a ticket for entry—no exceptions. Let’s pack the auditorium and show our support for our amazing CMS Choir students!
