January is School Board Recognition Month, a great opportunity to say thank you to the USD 204 Board of Education who are committed to the success of every student in our community. Our board of education includes Jennifer McConico (President), Angie Thomas (Vice President), Kim Beets, Dave Pierce, Ashley Razak, Chris Russell, and Jeff Tinberg. These seven community leaders volunteer hundreds of hours attending meetings, reading reports and discussing plans and programs to support educational achievement. Thank you BOE!

Before heading off for break, our students showed the true spirit of giving! 🧡 McDanield Preschoolers delivered over 240 food items to Vaughn-Trent Community Services, and students across the district came together to prepare Thanksgiving meal kits for Feed His Lambs. We’re so proud of their generosity. THANK YOU to our staff and families for supporting the various food drives during the holiday season, helping us make a big impact in our community!

🎭✨ Students from all of our preschool programs had a magical morning previewing Once Upon a Mattress at Bonner Springs High School! They loved meeting the cast and getting a sneak peek of this hilarious twist on the classic Princess and the Pea. Don't miss out on the fun—opening night is TONIGHT at 7 PM in the BSHS Auditorium! Today, Head Start took a field trip to the High School for their Princess and the Pea musical preview! We loved it! 😍

As Veterans Day approaches, we want to honor and thank those who have served our country.
